The cover truly is waterproof as advertised. The material is not too thick and light weight, which is ideal to take everywhere on the bike. However, since it is light weight, it flaps in the wind quite easily. luckily there are 3 straps at the bottom to secure the cover onto the bike. It seems to be quite durable too as it was very windy two days ago and the cover was flapping like crazy in the wind. I had to strap elastic cord to the back and in the middle of my bike to reduce the flapping of the cover. So far, it is intact and there is no rip that I can see.

Buyer Review: “I purchased with trepidation. Especially because the vendor couldn’t tell me what size was suitable for a GS1200 (plus Topbox) and the dimensions table/diagram wasn’t much help. Three months through winter and I’m a fan. The Favoto has weathered these last three months of high winds without a hint of damage. Including the tie-down plastic clips front & back, which I thought wouldn’t withstand a serious gust. Big positive is dealing with the unwanted attention of birds. A spot of rain and a bit of a blow and I haven’t needed to apply hose and scrubbing brush so far. Connecting the front & rear clips require a bit of dexterity if you are on the tall side and especially so if your midrift is padded out. The cover will fold to a surprisingly small package, so carrying it is feasible for the value of discouraging unwanted attention when parked away from home. Finally, I’m so impressed with this cover that I’m tempted buy another for fear that when it finally succombs to wear & tear the model isn’t available anymore. So I guess I was a little disappointed, as I was expecting some faux elephant hide, imitation canvas military tent or the like. Similar to British products from 30 years ago.
This cover is not like that. It almost feels too lightweight to be effective. But it is really well made, fits perfectly on my massive Hardley Rideable, and looks the part.
Definitely keeps the weather and other crud away from your pride and joy.
It has elasticated end sections, and three straps that pass beneath the bike with quick release adjustable plastic clips. So it doesn’t flap about.
There’s also a big eyelet at the front, I presume to show off your favourite lock, or to wire up an improvised anti theft measure of your choice.

Buyer Review: “I bought this cover for my VTR1000F Firestorm and could not be happier. I opted for the XXL as I was concerned it would not cover the bike from top to bottom. No worries, it is big and feels heavy duty. In fact I have used a number of clips to reduce the “flappy” areas (Not supplied). It certainly has proved to be water proof, though of course condensation will always be an issue when you cover a bike outside. I also use a couple of old cotton sheets under the cover to help with this and also prevent rubbing when it is windy. If you, like me, have no garage it is a very affordable solution.” David R. Buyer Review: “This is the second Stormex I’ve had, I used one for a smaller previous bike. I thoroughly recommend them. Robust, durable with a fleecy kind of lining inside. I’m writing this review 15 months into ownership with the cover being used outside all the time, through the best part of 2 UK winters.
I would say this isn’t a forever purchase if you’re using it outside all the time. A bit of the seam taping is coming unstuck where the cover is taught over the mirror / locked steering but the seam itself is still good. Plan on replacing them every 3 to 5 years.” John Dush

Buyer Review: “I have to say the metrical and quality of the fabric is a massive step up over previous covers I have used.
I specifically bought this as I prefer a drawstring over elasticated bottom as they tend to get caught.
The only issue I have is working out which way around the cover should go but have figured the logo should be on the left.
I bought it for a Yamaha MT07 and it fits very well, it could probably do with being a bit smaller if I’m honest and because the fabric is thick or is harder to pack into a small bag but it definitely keeps your bike dry and protected.” David G
